


Sydnie Rask, 2010 Adams County Fair Queen is the 20 year old daughter of Mike & Brenda Rask of Brighton. She was an eleven year member of Adams County 4-H where she participated in market and breeding sheep and horses at the local, state and national levels.
Sydnie is a 2008 graduate of Fort Lupton High School where she was involved in swimming, FFA, DECA, NHS, FBLA and Student Council holding offices in each. In addition, Sydnie enjoys team roping and building and drag racing cars with her Dad. She is currently a sophomore at Colorado State University studying Agriculture Education and is a member of Block & Bridle and Young Farmers.

Courtney Cox, 2010 Lady in Waiting is the 20 year old daughter of Michael and Joan Cox. A lifelong Adams County resident, Courtney has been active in 4-H since age 5. She started in the Cloverbud program with Front Range 4-H showing her decorated duds, sewing projects, and her horses. Courtney continued in 4-H participating in the 4-H fashion revue at the fair, and showing her horses until age 18. Courtney held several offices with the Front Range 4-H and also the Wild West 4-H.
Courtney attended Zion Luthern School in Brighton, K-8 and she performed with the Colorado Children's Chorale from age 7-14. She attended Legacy High School where she excelled in academics, drama, and music, receiving letters in all. She also received the Legacy leadership award before graduating in 2008 with honors.
Courtney is currently a sophomore at the University of Northern Colorado where she is majoring in vocal performance. She performs in select choirs at UNC, and opera productions. In 2009, she was selected to perform in a UNC opera production in Germany, France, and Belguim. She has performed the National Anthem at local venues, most recently at the Colorado Horse Expo at the National Western Complex.
Courtney has been a member of the Appaloosa Horse Club for over 10 years. She has shown both nationally and locally in the ApHC, and has received numerous awards. Courtney has also shown her horses at the National Western Stock Show for the past 10 years, receiving numerous awards, including the Youth Hunter Pleasure Championship Award in 2008.
Courtney is honored to be selected to represent the Adams County Fair and thanks the sponsors of the Royalty Program for their generous support.
